In a city that thrives on irony, a new Times headline could read:

“Average Single Family Home In Los Angeles Now Well Outside Affordability Of Average Single Families.”

Or something like that…

Given the following conditions;

1) High population density
2) Disparity of distributed wealth
3) High wealth bias (concentrations of wealth per neighborhood)
4) Inadequate law enforcement resources

Incidences of crime involving property and trespass, such as commercial and residential burglary, consistently occur where law enforcement is thinnest…

Bottom line – the loosely secured residence, especially those in affluent areas, are absolute gold mines for thieves.
